Hello, hello everyone! Hope everyone had an amazing first day of school. Here are your CASA updates for this week.
I. Asian American Student Assembly (AASA)
Every year, the Asian American Student Union (AASU) hosts the Asian American Student Assembly, where a variety of Asian-interest organizations are showcased. This year, CASA will be performing at AASA on August 27th at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 6:30pm. If you need a ride there, please contact one of the CASA officers and we will find you a ride. See you all there!

II. AASU Annual Fall BBQ
The Asian American Student Union (AASU) is kicking the fall semester off with a BBQ event at Lake Wauberg on August 29th from 11am to 3pm. Come and hang out with the whole AASU family. Enjoy free food, free friends, and free canoeing (if you bring your Gator 1).

III. Intramural Sports
Interested in playing sports? CASA is looking to create teams for the following:
7 on 7 flag football
Indoor Soccer
Ultimate Frisbee
3 on 3 Basketball
Softball
Indoor Volleyball

IV. Needed: Choreographers, Emcees, and Performers for Mid-Autumn!
Our Mid-Autumn Show is October 2nd and we are looking for choreographers for both traditional and modern dance. We are also looking for emcees (1 male, 1 female) and performers (singing, spoken word, skits, comedy, etc) for the show. If you are interested in any of the above, please send an email to our Special Events Coordinators John San and Scott Huang at casa.specialevent @ gmail.com.
V. First Fall Meeting
Mark your calendars! Our first fall meeting is on Wednesday, September 8th! Time and location are TBA so keep an eye out.
VI. ISA Pool Party
The Indian Students Association is having a pool party at Lexington Crossing on August 28th from 12-5pm. Come out and mingle with our ISA friends.
