I. Late Night with AASA

Asian American Student Assembly (AASA) displays the diversity and talent of the Asian American Student Union and its cultural and professional subgroups. With an intriguing mix of skits, videos and performances, AASA entertains and informs freshmen about available resources. This year’s AASA will be on August 26th at the Phillips Center, and will feature performances from:

• Asian Kaleidoscope Month (AKM)
• Freshman Leadership Program (FLP)
• Chinese American Student Association (CASA)
• Health Educated Asian Leaders (HEAL)
• Filipino Student Association (FSA)
• Korean Undergraduate Student Association (KUSA)
• Vietnamese Student Organization (VSO)
• alpha Kappa Delta Phi (aKDPhi)
• Kappa Phi Lambda (KPL)
• Pi Delta Psi (PDPsi)
• Indian Student Association (ISA)

This year’s AASA theme is “Late Night with AASA,” and will be hosted by TJ Gaffud and Mara Abeleda. Look forward to the fall semester and the Asian American Student Assembly!

II. CASA Back to School – First General Body Meeting

Our first general body meeting will be Wednesday, September 7, at 6:30pm. The room is TBA. Look forward to seeing your old friends and meeting new ones! More updates to come.

 

III. CASA T-Shirt Design

Have you seen those CASAwesome Pandahouse t-shirts some of your friends have been strutting around with? It’s a new year, and it’s time for a new t-shirt. This is your chance to make your design the next face of CASA! Send your design to casa.president@gmail.com. If your design is chosen, you will get a free t-shirt with your design on it!

V. AKM Mr & Miss AASU Applications Open

Do you want to win a SCHOLARSHIP? Are you proud of YOUR culture? Then, you should apply to be in this year’s Mr & Miss AASU Pageant! Applications are now OPEN and will be due September 14th. For those that are interested in and/or undecided about applying, an informational meeting will be held early in the fall semester before the application deadline.
