    A day in Apartment 1913.
    Thursday, February 9th, 2012

Campus Lodge Apartment 1913 is a place that I’ll never forget. 3 1/2 girls occupying only 1,695 square feet of pure chaos. Actually, I’m just kidding about the chaos part, but I’m for real on the 3 1/2 girls. Let’s take a journey starting from  Room A.

The room of my wife. She’s tall, black, & beautiful. With an array of DVD’s lined on her desk, and the occasional can of pringles (sour cream & onion) here & there, her room is always smelling like lotion. The constant uproar of laughter is heard at approximately 11pm-1am even from the far corners of the apartment. You can always tell she’s home when you can hear the faint noise of BET spilling through the small cracks of the door, and an empty bowl of eaten cereal in the sink.

Room B. This is occupied by the 1/2 girl. His name is Maverick Sta Maria, but many know him Daniel. The eccentric Filipino boy who hates to text but loves to eat. And eating is what he does very well. It’s actually a true talent. Never have I seen a boy eat so many meals a day. Step into his room  & you will automatically feel the aura that Daniel leaves behind. Christmas lights, antique like pictures of friends, family, & of course himself, decorating the walls. He can be seen in his room watching lectures only because his professor is cute, with a stack of empty plates on his desk, and the TV turned on the channel 66 (HGTV). Showering in the morning is a must, no matter how late for work he is. Walking into other rooms just to get a different perspective of how he lo0ks in the mirror. He’s one of a kind.

The next room is that of a girl who lives in a cave. The den is called Room C. A small Filipino girl who studies like an Asian should. Always secluding herself from the world because of Tumblr, KPop. and other internet sites, she stays in her room. Only coming out once or twice a day to go to school & scavenge for food. With an immune system of a newborn child, she’s always sick, using toilet paper as tissues. She is a true mystery but when she does somehow leave her cave, her curiosity always gets the best of her and she can be seen watching “Downton Abbey” with Daniel.

The last room is of course saved because it’s the best. Room D. Occupied by a korean girl who is unfortunately never home. But when she is, her roommates would call her an “exhibitionist”. Only because she likes the feeling of being free without undergarments (a bra). NO BIG DEAL YOU GUYS. In the kitchen, soup is a specialty, always because Daniel and her wife love it so much. Good stuff.

Different personalities but we mesh so well together. Always laughing, always eating, always there for each other. We really are a family. I never had such great roommates (:

    Goals
    Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

Thank you Michael Dang for the topic. I’m having a rough time deciding short term goals now that CNY is over (I hope you guys watched the show!) I’ll go over long terms for right now and hopefully my short term goals will come to me as I blog.

    Long Term:

    1. Become a Pharmacist! My ultimate goal. I’m thinking of going to Grad School for Psychology just for a safety netting. If it doesn’t work out at least I have something to fall back on.

    2. Have a family. Hopefully I find a girl who will put up with my ridiculousness and is crazy enough to marry me. I want to marry as late as I can so maybe like age 28 or 29 like my parents.

    3. Explore the world. I haven’t moved from Florida since I came here. I do want to see what is out there. I mean where I’m from in Florida seems like a nice quiet place but I wouldn’t mind having a change of scenery.

    4. Be like my father. This man was strict and I despised it at the time. He had standards that we had to pass not only in school but in Taekwondo. The thing is after awhile of looking back on it, I’m so glad my behind got whipped from time to time. Sometimes you need to be remember of what is really important or how to act in certain situations. Granted, they wanted you to have freedom and that’s why they came to the U.S., but don’t be ungrateful to just waste away all their sacrifices.

    Short Term:

    1. Study more. If you need a study partner hit me up. I’d rather be with someone studying than by myself. I’m self destructive, I can’t be alone. I don’t care if we don’t talk (which is kind of impossible because sometimes I just have questions to ask), I just want to feel someone’s presence. I will try my best to be silent most of the time while studying. Yes, that was me sort of selling myself to be your study partner. I’m looking at you Vi Le!

    2. Work out more. This will have to happen gradually. I’m not going to be THAT guy and say it then not do it at all. We should ease in to it and not go on full blast. I don’t want to disappoint anyone especially myself. On a side note, I am working out with my sister’s boyfriend in an hour. Day one. Legos. You play with them.

    3. Learn to legitly bboy. I was told not to go this week because they are practicing for the TET show, but expect me to hang around their practice area next week. I’m coming after you Ray Xiao. Oh but of course, it’s after our big/little events that you all should come too! I haven’t been to the zoo since I came here so I’m excited.

    4. Eat regularly. I have been eating maybe at most two meals each day. I usually skip breakfast, which I shouldn’t. I’m going to try this new thing where I bring snacks to campus so I can at least nom on things. This idea was brought to me by Shannon Tai.

I think that’s enough of my goals. If you have any questions don’t be afraid to come up and ask them. That statement is not only directed to me, but to all the officers. If you want to know something just ask. We’re a pretty chill group of people so don’t be shy. Alright time to have my second meal, which has to be small because working out feeling full is a horrible idea.
